1.Panambur Beach: Situated at a distance of 2 km from the Mangalore port, this is one of the famous beaches of Mangalore. The port is one of the greatest attractions of this place and usually remains packed with tourists. Not just the bathing in the sea water, there are numerous local food stalls which can be checked. Every year, in January a kite festival is organized over the beach and it a wonderful site to watch.
How to Reach: This beach is 10-12 km away from the main city and can be reached by bus, cab or train.

2.Tannirbhavi Beach: It is an awesome beach for a solitude stay and for spending some private moments. Unlike the Panambur beach which is a crowded one, this beach is a perfect for a honeymoon destination. This is located in a secluded place from the main city and is one of the cleanest beaches.
How to Reach: As there are no direct public transport, reaching this destination is quite a tough affair. You can either reach there on a ferry from Sultan Battery or hire a cab to directly.

3.Someshwara Beach: This gives an amusing view with the rocks in the middle of the sea, known as the ‘Rudra shilas’. The beach ends in an ancient temple compound, the Someshwara temple and remains usually packed by devotees. The beach portrays a mesmerizing view of the sunrise and the sunset and its rays dazzling in the water is a truly amazing portray.
How to Reach: This beach is situated in Ullal, a few kilometers away from Mangalore and can be easily reached by public transports.

4.Ullal Beach: This beach is situated 17 km away from the city and is actually the stretch of the Someshwara beach. From this beach, you can access some of the places of historical importance such as the Rani Abakka’s fort, Sayyid madani Dargah, Queen Ambakks’s Jain Temple etc.
How to Reach: You can take direct trains from the Mangalore station or hire a cab to have a view of this beach.

5.Surathkal Beach: This place has a number of technical institutes. But the most amazing attraction is the beach and the lighthouse. The beach is located near the Sadashiva temple, giving the couple the pure bliss and serenity.
