Go to Salar Jung Museum to See Largest One-man Collection

If you come to Hyderabad and you don’t visit Salar Jung Museum then you have missed everything. Located on the south bank of river Musi, this museum is close to some major tourist sites. As India’s third largest museum, this 10 acres and 2 floors building has an extensive collection of about 10,000 manuscripts, 47,000 books and 43,000 historical items from across the world. One of the main attractions here is the 19th century musical clock brought from England. There are many other interesting items to see here.

Other museums to visit in the city

Apart from the most popular Salar Jung museum, the city has some other museums too. The City Museum also known as Purani Haveli was the official residence of last Nizam and holds the items gifted to him. The AP State Museum inside the public gardens and Natural History Museum in Nehru Zoological Park are highly popular too.
