Had A Memorable And Eventful Trip, Reconnecting With Old Friends In Bhubaneswar

With time everything changes, even relationships do. But some special relationships do remain the same. Like my friendship with my childhood friend. We live in different cities now, and don’t talk as much but the bond is still there. Whenever we talk or meet each other, we have a lot of fun.

A few months back she got engaged, and invited me to her engagement party. Being her best friend there was no way I would miss her special occasion. It was good thing she informed me well in advance so I could plan my leave accordingly. Since my friend lives in Bhubaneswar which is just a few hours away from by home town Puri, I wasn’t worried about the travelling. I had been to Bhubaneswar quite long back, so I was quite excited to meet my friend as well as visit the town.

The entire experience proved to be quite pleasurable due to the right selection of train and hassle free travelling. While choosing a train from Puri to Bhubaneswar, the one thing I had in mind was the timing of departure. I was looking for a late night train, which would have allowed me to wrap up my work in an easily way. After checking out several trains I came to the conclusion that Utkal Express would be perfect for me, as the train departs at 10pm in the night and is also one of the fastest trains to reach Bhubaneswar.

So, the timing was very much suitable for my work schedule. Finally, the day arrived and I reached the railway station in time. The train arrived as per schedule on time.

The train was absolutely punctual and reached Bhubaneswar railway station right on time. Since it was just an hour journey I booked the sleeper class. Since it was quite late at night when I reached Bhubaneswar, my friend had sent her car to pick me from the railway station.

Events like engagements are important event for everyone involved, thus everyone was busy with the preparations, I also pitched in to help where ever required. It was such a busy schedule that I couldn’t imagine how everything happened so quickly. I really enjoyed spending time with my friend, and also enjoyed a lot at the engagement ceremony.

Any Trip Is Incomplete Without Shopping

After the engagement ceremony I still had one more day to in Bhubaneswar. So we all decided to go around the town and check out a few places. Though we visited several tourist spots in the town but it was the Udayagiri Caves which had a lot of impact on my mind.  The caves were something unusual a sight to watch and learn. Just by looking at it we can learn so much about the ancient culture.

Shopping is an important part of every trip, though I had not intended to shop much, I still bought several souvenirs from the street market of the town. Spending time away form by routine life was really a treat. I enjoyed myself to the fullest. Since my tickets were already booked on the Guwahati-Puri express, I couldn’t extend my trip. However small I had a really memorable trip.
